Robert Ranald McIan, was a Scottish-born actor and painter. He is best known for romanticiseddepictions of Scottish clansmen, their battles and domestic life. His most famous work were illustrations in The Clans of The Scottish Highlands, published in 1845 on the centenary of the Jacobite Rising. He died in 1856
These highly collectable pieces based on those illustrations are approximately 6" in height and have been crafted in meticulous detail from 100% lead free pewter.
They have been sculpted by Matt Lonsdale, who is regarded as the UK's top master sculptor of figurines.
