Fully Scottish-made formal Victorian-style doublet, we can made these in velvet, tweed or barathea. The Balquhidder is a variation of the Balmoral doublet and is a classic piece of highlandwear. With the Kenmore, these were once the universal type of kilt jacket.
If you are looking for a statement jacket for that
special occasion, this is the perfect choice. With he lapelled collar, this may
be worn with a necktie, bowtie, rouche tie or even cravat, depending on
whatever the occasion calls for.
This version is the standard size, use the dropdown
menu to select your usual jacket size. Unsure? Take a measure of your chest,
waist (over your kilt preferably) and let us know your height in the text box
and we can make sure you get the best fit. You can also look to our fully made
to measure option here.
As the Balquhidder can be buttoned up you do not need
to wear a waistcoat, although one can be worn if you wear the jacket open. Use
the dropdown menu to select whether you require a matching waistcoat on your
order.
The Balmoral Doublet is made to order in our
own tailoring workshop in Glasgow. Lead time is indicated in the drop-down
menu.
Use the text box to let us know if you would like any other modifications, and we can see what we can do.
