Figurines

Robert Ranald McIan, was a Scottish-born actor and painter. He is best known for romanticised depictions of Scottish clansmen, their battles and domestic life. His most famous work were illustrations in The Clans of The Scottish Highlands, published in 1845 on the centenary of the Jacobite Rising. He died in 1856

These highly collectable pieces based on those illustrations are approximately 6" in height and have been crafted in meticulous detail from 100% lead free pewter.

They have been sculpted by Matt Lonsdale, who is regarded as the UK's top master sculptor of figurines. Matt graduated from the Kent Institute of Art and Design and specializes in meticulously detailed figure work.  He has been involved in numerous projects - from installations through to many individual commissions including the WIND IN THE WILLOWS and the JAMES HERIOT interactive exhibitions in the UK.  In addition his work is sought after by major television, advertising and film production companies.  Notable achievements to date include work on the major motion pictures TITANIC and JUDGE DREAD.
