If dancing at your ceilidh gets a bit out of hand and you loose one of your sporran tassels, it’s fortunate we can provide replacements. Most tassels are held on the inside of your sporran by a split ring (like the sort you use on a key ring), so its not only easy to remove and replace, but by adjusting where the ring sits on the chain you can make each tassel the perfect length. The chains are supplied slightly longer than usual, so you can adjust as you need to.


We supply tassels in sets of three. Although you might have only lost one, this means you have enough to have a complete matching set, or the option to have two in one colour and the third in another. The chaps will take a couple of days to make these up for you. Send us a message if you need to match anything in particular, we should be able to find a fur to match, or at least compliment.


When ordering the replacement sporran tassels, you first need to identify the metal. If it’s shiny you want our chrome option. If its more matte in appearance, then go for antique. Or if you’re matching brass or gilt, then gold is your choice.

 



Identifying your fur can be tricky, so feel free to send us a picture before your order and we can let you know. The vast majority of sporrans are either bovine or sealskin. The latter has a deeper sheeny appearance, and will either be a yellow or brown hue, sometimes even silver. Bovine tends to be more matte, and will be creamy or often died black.
