St Kilda’s range of Clan Crest Cap Badges are the last word in quality and authenticity. Each badge is made in solid lead-free pewter in our Glasgow workshops, highly detailed with a good weight behind them. All the badges are researched and designed by our expert team, in our distinctive house style, which was devised for us by the renowned heraldic expert Romilly Squire. Such is the popularity of our style, many of our designs have been used under licence by various Clan Societies.

You can learn more about the clans of Scotland in our Scottish Clan and Family Encyclopaedia, and we have a blog on the symbolism behind the clan crests, which you’ll find at the bottom of this page.

As well as our main range of Clan Crest Cap Badges, we also have our vintage Carrick range, which date from the 1970s. These offer a great and slightly larger alternative for a core range of surnames.

The question comes up from time to time about copyright. Although the blazon (the written description) of a crest is public domain, the artistic interpretation of a crest is copyrighted. Our design team works hard creating these. If you are looking for a copyright free crests, search Wikimedia commons – otherwise please don’t use ours without permission.
