This is part of the old Carrick Celtic line of Cap Badges, part of a handful of old moulds we're still able to offer. This features the shield of the Irish Kennedys (unlike the crest we use in our modern line of cap badges), which features three helmets. The Irish Kennedys are said to descend from Kennedy or Cinneide, nephew of Brian Boru, who later became the Lords of Ormond.  

This is a small cap badge 42mm wide and 50mm tall. Plain pewter finish.
