This traditional cap badge features the Royal Arms—more specifically, the version traditionally used in England, although it is commonly displayed across the armed services throughout the United Kingdom. We rediscovered this striking design while browsing our vintage collection of original moulds and were instantly reminded of its outstanding craftsmanship and historical charm. The intricate detailing was simply too good not to bring back into production.
The badge beautifully represents all four nations of the UK: the Lion and Rose of England, the Unicorn, Thistle, and Rampant Lion of Scotland, the Harp of Northern Ireland, and the Daffodil of Wales. These symbols are all brought together in one expertly crafted emblem.
Each badge is individually hand-cast in lead-free pewter by our master craftsmen in our Glasgow workshop. We take great pride in the finish, ensuring exceptional clarity and quality in every piece. This is a standout accessory for traditional Scottish dress, traditionally worn on the left side of a Glengarry or Balmoral bonnet, just above the rosette.
It also makes a fine embellishment for a sporran, can be plated in various finishes, or even worn as a small brooch. For plating options or custom orders, please get in touch via our contact form.
Size is 5cm wide and 4.5cm tall.
