This kilt is suitable for children with a waist from 16"-30" and lengths 10"-20".

These kilts are made with hems for both the length and the waist, so they can be altered at a later date.

As with all our kilts, this garment is Made in Scotland by our own trained kilt makers. The kilt is hand stitched from 4 to 5 yards of worsted wool, available in our full range of tartans. The 5 yard kilt is a lightweight and versatile alternative to the traditional 8 yard kilt, so ideal for children. Fully canvas lined with traditional kilt construction. 

This item is made to order in our own tailoring workshop in Glasgow, with a standard delivery time of 4 to 6 weeks. If you need it sooner please select the option above. Our tailors can accommodate most requests, please contact us at sales@stkildastore.com or add notes to your order at checkout.

The Children's Sporran can be purchased separately. We offer package deals on children's items such as kilts, jackets, sporrans and hose, so please get in contact if you've any requests.

Tartan Finder Disclaimer:

As each of the mills has supplied their own images, or they have been taken from fabric samples, please note that the setts are not to scale when comparing tartans of different mills. Also, as screen resolutions vary, colours may differ slightly from those seen here. If unsure, we’d encourage you to purchase a swatch of the fabric before buying. 

Measuring advice:

  • Waist: measure firmly around waist at belly button height.
  • Seat: measure firmly around the largest part of the seat area.
  • Kilt Length: measure from the top of the hip at belly button height to the top of the knee (or as long as required).
