Introducing our Pictish Piper clutch pin – a distinctive accessory inspired by the mysterious and evocative art of early medieval Scotland. This beautifully detailed piece takes its design from the Lethendy Pictish Cross Slab, an ancient carved stone believed to date back to the 9th or 10th century. For centuries, this stone was repurposed as a lintel in the 16th-century Lethendy Tower, adding layers of history and character to the story behind the design.

The pin showcases a bearded figure playing what appears to be a set of pan pipes – a rare and fascinating glimpse into the musical culture of the Picts. With flowing lines and stylized features, this elegant figure exudes both mystery and charm. But he isn’t playing solo – he’s part of a duo. Be sure to meet his musical counterpart, the Pictish Harpist, available separately in our historical collection.

Each pin is entirely designed, cast, and hand-finished in our Glasgow workshops by our skilled team of artisans. It’s made in lead-free pewter for safety and durability, with a secure brass pin and butterfly clip on the reverse. Measuring 37mm by 22mm, it's perfectly sized for lapels, jackets, or bags.

This piece isn’t just an accessory – it’s a wearable celebration of Scottish heritage and craftsmanship. Whether you're drawn to historical symbolism, Celtic artistry, or unique handmade pieces, the Pictish Piper clutch pin makes a thoughtful gift or a standout addition to your own collection.
