Plaid Brooch - the Treasure Lion

A modest plaid brooch featuring our 'treasure lion' motif.  The double tressure is the distinctive boarder seen round the lion's head here, and is a notable feature of the heraldry of the Kings of Scots. The folk in our workshop therefore started referring to this design as the 'treasure' lion, and we thought that made an excellent name. 

Cast from high quality 100% lead free pewter at our workshop in Glasgow, Scotland. Completely designed, mastered, cast and finished in our Grovepark Street workshops. 

Plaid brooches attach to the shoulder plaid to act as weights to keep them in place.  Given the smaller size of this brooch, it would also act well as a large ladies brooch. 

66mm in diameter - ideal for use with our fly plaids or on a shawl.
