Featuring the triskelion or 'ny tree cassyn' (the three armoured legs), a symbol of the Isle of Man since about 1265, when the Kings of Scots claimed sovereignty over the island. It is assumed to take its lead from the three legged symbol of Sicily, the three-pointed island, although the exact circumstances as to how are somewhat obscure. This is set upon the Manx Sword of State. This is a mid-15th century sword (although alleged to be as old as the 13th century - and perhaps it is, like Trigger's Broom), representing the Tynwald, the High Court or Parliament.

Measured 98mm long and 30mm wide. Plain pewter finish - entirely cast and finished in our Glasgow workshops.
