The Book of Kells is the finest piece of Insular Art from the Early Middle Ages. Probably Started on the Scottish island of Iona and finished at Kells in Ireland, this magnificent work of beauty was made around the year 800 against the backdrop of Viking raiding.
This kilt pin is inspired by the majestic interlaced herons or pelicans found within its pages.
This is a premium quality hand cast pewter kilt pin with a matte antique finish. The kilt pin is worn on the front of a kilt to prevent it lifting. Cast and finished at our workshop in Glasgow, Scotland, by our highly trained craftsmen.
Size 9.7cm long.
