The Battle of Culloden - Last Stand of the Clans.
The painting shows the known deployment of the Jacobite forces in the moments before the fateful battle of Culloden moor.
A key at the bottom of the print names each of the formations, from the Atholl brigade (consisting of the Robertsons, Menzies and Murrays) to the Glengarry MacDonalds (with the Grants of Glenurquhart) on each flank, then such famous forces as the Irish Picquets, Lord Drummond's Royal Ecossois, and all the major Highland Clans who turned out.
The topography of Culloden moor, the weather conditions and the Clan banners have been faithfully rendered, with Inverness, with its old castle, seen in the far background. See the Prince encouraging his men from the front. The moments before the final charge that would end the Jacobite cause in an afternoon.
The prints are on top quality paper, and we can post worldwide in protective tubes.
Available in two sizes.
